Canadian Centre for Child Protection and family of missing 16-year-old Mekayla Bali issue plea for information
For Immediate Release
The family of 16-year-old Mekayla Bali is in a desperate search for their daughter. Mekayla has not been seen or heard from since the morning of April 12th, 2016. Mekayla was reported missing to police that afternoon after she did not return home from school.
“It has now been over two weeks since we’ve heard anything from our daughter,” says Mekayla’s mom, Paula. “We are incredibly worried. It is unusual and very out of character for Mekayla not to come home and we cannot think of a reason why she has not tried to get in touch.”
Mekayla is a grade 11 student at Sacred Heart High School in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. She is a quiet homebody who loves her family. She plays violin and piano, and is in drama and speech arts. She has won awards for acting, and violin.
Mekayla’s family has been working with the Yorkton RCMP to search for the missing teen and are pleading with the public to help in the search, to share any piece of information, no matter how small, as it could be a critical piece to HELP bring Mekayla home.
