Law Enforcement

The role of law enforcement agencies is essential to locating missing children and protecting children from victimization. MissingKids.ca (formerly Child Find Manitoba) has been working alongside police to help find missing children for decades, and has, in recent years, prioritized the establishment of formalized protocols with police services across the country. The protocols enhance communication between police agencies and the MissingKids.ca team, enabling our team to provide tailored support services and resources to the policing community.

“My experience dealing with the Canadian Centre for Child Protection was beyond expectations. From the first telephone call informing of the circumstances, the staff at the Centre listened to the situation/concerns expressed and initiated an immediate response. The Centre kept in continuous contact and consultation in regard to their interventions and progress. Having never previously worked directly with the Centre as an unfolding/dynamic situation was progressing, I wasn't sure if or how the Centre could help. I was truly impressed with the research, assistance, consultation and follow-up that was given. I would highly recommend any Police agency to call the Centre for assistance and support when dealing with missing children.”
